Beogram 4002 MMC 20EN record player turntable Bang & Olufsen Vintage hi fi
Here we have a very speacial record player the highly rated and rare vintage Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4002 from the 1970’s. It is a permanent collection in the museum of modern art as you can see from the photos it is very beautiful I have never seen a record player look this good. The craftmanship is of the highest quality the metal buttons feel very luxurious to press, it feels like a very high end item and like it belongs on a super yacht! It is fitted with a very valuable MMC 20EN ne. In the photo it has its needle cover on, if anyone wants close up photos of the needle message me. Instruction manual is included. It has an EU plug and a voltage selector underneath to choose voltage 110, 130, 220 or 240V. All lights are working the red B&O logo, the yellow light below tone arm, red standby light on left bottom corner and pitch control lights above keypad. I will post a video demonstration on youtube as soon as possible. The record player is fully working. Unfortunately one of the hinges is damaged as can be seen in photos but you still have the one on the other side. Also the start button is not working as intended. When you press start the tone arm slides to the record player all the way to the end and then off again it does not lower the needle at the start of the record. This is not really an issue because at the point on the record were you want to play as the tone arm slides you press the left or right button the needle will lower and play from that point. On the Beoworld forum I have been told the contacts need cleaning. It has been fitted with a new carriage belt. The platter belt has been checked and did not require replacing.
