Vintage Hacker GP45 Grenadier Teak Cased Record Player with Amplifier
Hacker GP45 Grenadier teak cased record player with separate amplifier unit for stereo sound reproduction and Garrad Sp25 MKIII record deck. Similar in size and style to the more common GP42 Gondolier, this model has solid state amplification rather than the GP42’s valve amp. I have lifted the deck and replaced all the old lubricant which over time turns to glue and seizes up the mechanism. The player performs as when new and has a very clear stylus. A few consmetic blemishes but nothing major, just a little crackle when adjusting the controls but again, nothing bad. Has the original power cable but I have fitted a BS1363 plug (sleeved pins) in order to comply with modern safety standards. It has also been PAT tested. Interested buyers should note that this item is very heavy and has no carry handle (never fitted). Due to the ongoing travel restrictions, I will only travel to the post office once per week (every Tuesday). There will therefore be a delay on the dispatch of items.
