The Micro Seiki BL-91, released in Japan in 1980 during the Japanese “Golden Era” of high-fidelity audio equipment, is an extremely well-regarded vintage turntable. Micro Seiki has acquired a great reputation over the years for its high-quality turntables, and this BL-91 is no exception. Unlike many Japanese turntables of the era, the BL-91 operates with a belt-drive system. It is a highly precise unit, with a solid build quality, which includes special alloy bearings which were polished to the same degree of precision used for aircraft jet engines. Further innovations to reduce resonances and vibrations include a proprietary oil-suspension system which isolates the main rotating assembly from vibration. The BL-91 is a superb turntable with exceptional mechanical engineering and incredible sound. This unit is in very good condition overall (please see pictures), with some signs of age and use throughout, including some scratches, coloration, and dustiness.
