Vintage YORX M2681 Radio Record Player Cassette 8 Track M2681. All functions have been tested and were found to be fully functional, and yes, even the 8 track! Equalizer knobs, cassette function knobs, and all other knobs are present and in good shape. Auto retract of the needle to its stand functions. Needle lift lever functions. When the volume knob is turned, a brief static sound is made likely from a bit of dust in the volume potentiometer. The static is very brief and can be nearly eliminated with vigorous repeated movements of the knob. The idler wheel has naturally hardened due to age and operates with the hard plastic platter. This causes a low volume noise (similar to rumbling) to be present during use of the record player (phono). A flat spot developed in the idler wheel but has been filled to reduce the volume of the knocking noise. It is still present but at a relatively low volume. This is a common occurrence and can be a relatively easy, quick, and inexpensive correction. It has been well packed with foam and paper to protect all aspects of it.
