Vintage 1946 D-1645 Truetone Floor Model Pullout Record Player Radio Western Auto Supply As Is. 650 is stamped on the casing. D-1645 Truetone, Western Auto Supply Co. Broadcast and Short Wave (SW). Great deco look to this cabinet with bakelite knobs and the phonograph drawer slides out. The bottom of the cabinet was in rough shape. I rebuilt the frame and filled, and painted the bottom 3″ or 4″ to approximately match the veneer. You can definitely see the differences if you’re looking for it, but you won’t notice it much. It looks different depending on the light. The photos taken outdoors show there’s too much red in the matchup color. Indoors, I think it would be just fine. I might agree to drive it an hour closer to you from Amherst MA, but contact me first to discuss that further.
