Crosley 629M Radio Console Phonograph Record Player 1939 1940 Art Deco Cabinet
This is a Crosley model 629M console cabinet radio and phonograph. It was made from 1939 to 1940. There are wires still attached to it, but there is no plug, so I don’t know if it will work. There is a spot on the right back corner where the wood is worn and peeling a little (see photos). In the photos, the record player arm is twist-tied to keep it from swinging around while we were moving it. And there is tape over the little hole that holds old needles. The back cover is pretty flimsy and has several large tears. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture and it could be a great radio/record player with a little TLC.
