Vintage Motorola Stereophonic Highfidelity Record Player Phonograph All Tube
Clean and of course sounds so warm and full with the all tube amplification. Radio works perfectly, but there’s no sound with the record player. I put a new needle in, and that didn’t work, so I think it needs a new cartridge. I replaced the cartridge and now the record player works!!!! The bass knob needs to be cleaned. There’s also an issue with the speakers -when it’s pushed in for stereo instead on mono, the right speaker doesn’t work. And when the record player is going the left speaker isn’t working while the stereo is pushed in. I’m not an expert on these, so I think it might need a preamp? I think this is what isn’t lighting up when it’s plugged in. But, like I said, I’m not an expert or even close. Also, the back panel needs to be rewired/repaired. It’s also missing a knob on the back-see photo. This record player still sounds good, but needs work. From a smoke and pet free home. Record is Sleater-Kinney The Center Won’t Hold.
