Old Vintage Suitcase Record Player Masterwork Fidelity Garrard Stereo Phonograph
This is an old vintage portable travel DJ Disc Jockey music record player collectible. We believe this fantastic All Transistor Masterwork High Fidelity Stereophonic Phonograph with Garrard turntable dates into the late 50’s or early 60’s. It is housed in 2 full size suitcases. One holds the record player and one holds the stereo speakers. The stereo speakers are actually the top and bottom of one suitcase when opened and will separate, of course for great stereo sounds. The Garrard turntable is housed in the other suitcase and takes less than a minute to set up. It works right in the suitcase and plays 16, 33, 45, and 78 speeds. Just plug the stereo speaker wires into the suitcase with the player; plug in the unit and it is ready to go. Spindle is easily removable for travel. This came to us from a very prominent local estate. We were told by family that the patriarch travelled extensively and carried the 2 suitcases just about everywhere he went. He did speaking/entertainment engagements and used the set up for amusement, accompaniment, information, etc. We have played this since it has been in our possession and it has a great sound. As one might imagine, we have considered keeping it for our own use. Yet, here we offer it to you… Not sure there are many of these around anymore. Suitcases are made of a hard plastic that has done its job of protecting this unit over the years. If you are interested, we would suggest you pick it up before we change our mind. It is an vintage item so it may have some wear, but overall a great collectible!
