The Denon DP-50L is a direct-drive turntable that was released in Japan in 1978, during the “Golden Era” of Japanese audiophile equipment. Though this turntable does not have a mainstream following outside of Japan, among Japan-savvy audiophiles the DP-50L has a phenomenal reputation for its high-quality playback performance, with stable rotation speed, high SNR (>75 dB), very low motor noise, and very low wow and flutter (< 0.015% WRMS). Furthermore, the DP-50L has a very high quality of build and just looks gorgeous. The L version indicates automatic operation. This particular unit is in very good condition, with only minor wear throughout (please see photos), including some scratches on the body (last picture) and rust on the tonearm (8th picture).
