Vintage MCS 6401 Turntable With AT Cartridge / Stereo Record Player
This MCS turntable was part of a large collection of electronics which had been stored for almost thirty years. Cosmetically, it’s in great condition, it has some scuffing on the dust cover but no noticeable cracks. Which we’ve tried to feature in the photos. No testing was was done to avoid damaging anything, as we have no idea how to properly operate it. It has an AT cartridge with needle. It’s surprisingly heavy and appears to be very well built. I have been collecting this gear for 44 years and JC Penney was the best American company at outsourcing electronics. CEC made the 6300 for Marantz, many Sansui models, the Realistic LAB 400 series, the Q50 and TP series for Sanyo, and many other world famous tables The 6401 is the ultimate hidden gem and hardest to find turntable in the MCS lineup by far.
